Lessons

Students receive private or group lessons depending on age and proficiency level.

Piano Parties, as well as recitals, are offered for the children to perform with other students in a relaxed, fun atmosphere. Refreshments are served. Parents are invited to attend lessons and performances.

Available Classes

Preschool Preparatory Piano (At extended care locations.) - Group lessons for up to 4 students. Students use the Music for Little Mozarts curriculum at the piano, combined with music and movement instruction. Class time is 30 minutes.

Semi-Private Piano - Two students per group sharing a lesson with one instructor.  Basic skills are taught individually, with an emphasis on ensemble playing as well.  Class time is 30 minutes.

Private Piano - Individual students in a lesson with one instructor.  Recommended for students with more advanced skills.  Class time is 30 minutes.

Music Makers at the Keyboard - Group lessons in music and movement with a keyboard component added each week. This class is for ages 5 and 6 who are beginning piano students. Music Makers is the most age appropriate class to begin piano lessons.  Musikgarten curriculum is used.  Class time is 1 hour. Parents are involved in the final 5 minutes of class each week.

Adult Recreational Piano - One of the fastest growing areas of piano instruction in the country. These group lesson are designed for up to 4 students who wish to learn to play for the enjoyment of it!  Students learn to play familiar music quickly, both in solo and in ensemble arrangements.  Class time is 1 hour.
